2014 Bronco Hockey Elite Camp

CAMP DESCRIPTION
Elite is a aggressive training program for the competitive player. Elite involves on and off ice pro style training aimed at teaching its participants the discipline and dedication necessary to take their game to the next level. Each Elite day consists of two competitive on ice sessions, one intense off ice training session, and a video teaching session.

All Age Groups

Venue: Lawson Ice Arena

Cost: $350 per person, plus mandatory $30 insurance fee

Addtional Information

Lunch is PROVIDED for all Bronco Hockey Camp participants daily

* USA Hockey 2014-2015 age classifications.
** Features specialized goaltending instruction.
*** A certified athletic trainer is on duty at all times

ALL CAMPS ARE OFFERED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.

Campers must bring own equipment.

Medical Waiver & Concussion Information Forms MUST be completed prior to participation. Please bring both signed documents to camp.

OFF ICE TRAINING

PLYOMETRICS:  a series of jumping and bounding exercises that improve explosiveness and balance.
OVERSPEED TRAINING:  a series of sprinting and quickness drills designed to increase foot speed.
STRENGTH TRAINNG: Speed/ Power/ Agility/ Core
ATHLETIC and SKILL PROGRESSION: a proven series of athletic movements that done in progression and over time improve movement and athletic form. Form that will make our hockey players better athletes.

All Off Ice training to be conducted by the WMU Strength and Conditioning Coaches

The Bronco Hockey Camp Program is designed and led by:

Andy Murray -- Bronco Head Coach --
Served as head coach for the Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues of the NHL before coming to Western Michigan University ... also has coached Team Canada to three IIHF World Championship gold medals ... In May of 2012 Coach Murray was Inducted into the IIFH Hall of Fame for his accomplishments.

Pat Ferschweiler -- Fourth Year, Bronco Associate Head Coach --
Built the Russell Stover AAA Hockey program and served as coach for the U-18 Boys ... has trained elite, travel and house players for 20 years ... played in IHL for eight seasons and is a former Bronco player from 1990-1993.

Rob Facca -- Fourth Year, Bronco Associate Head Coach --
Before arriving at Western Michigan, spent three seasons as Assistant Coach at Northern Michigan ... was Assistant Coach for the Lincoln Stars of USHL for two years ... served two seasons as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Nebraska-Omaha, where he played forward.
