KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Nearly two-thirds of the teams from the National Football League (NFL) found themselves on the Western Michigan University campus on Tuesday for the Broncos' Annual Pro Day Workout Session as scouts, coaches and general managers from 21 NFL teams watched E.J. Biggers, Louis Delmas, Londen Fryar, Jamarko Simmons, Branden Ledbetter and eight other former Broncos work out.

The morning began with weighing and measuring of each draft prospect, measuring the players' heights, weights, wing span, flexibility and hand size.  The prospects began their day in the weight room of the Bill Brown Alumni Football Center.  First drill was the broad jump, followed by the vertical jump and 225 lb bench press.

After a 20 minute break, the group walked over to the Seelye Athletic Center for the 40-yard dash, shuttle run, 3-cone drill and 60-yard shuttle run.  The session concluded with each group going through position-related drills.  The defensive backs worked on read and recognition, the receivers and backs ran routes, catching passes from quarterbacks coach Ryan Cubit and former WMU QB Thomas Peregrin.

The 2009 NFL Draft takes place in New York City on Saturday and Sunday, April 25-26.  When asked where they will be on draft day, Biggers, Delmas, Fryar, Ledbetter and Simmons each said they will be home in Florida, New Jersey and Michigan, respectively, surrounded by family and friends.

The 2009 spring football practice sessions begin this Thursday, March 12.  The annual Brown & Gold Spring Game will take place on Saturday, April 11. The Broncos open the 20089 campaign on Sept. 5 at Michigan.
