Due in part to events such as the Boston Marathon bombings this past spring, heightened security measures are being taken through the National Football League and across major college football.  Western Michigan University is adopting the following policies in Waldo Stadium beginning this season.

Beginning in 2013 the following items will not be permitted into Waldo Stadium on game day:

* Normal sized purses and diaper bags are permissible but are subject to inspection.

If a fan has one of these prohibited items with them when attempting to enter the stadium they will be asked to either return the item(s) to their car or dispose of the item before entering the stadium.  There will be no provisions available to “check” an item at the gate to be picked up at the conclusion of the game.

Additionally, Lots 2 & 3 will be closed throughout the season due to East Campus renovation.

Please also note Lot 1 located off Oakland Drive is being utilized by Alumni & Development during the Oct. 12 (Homecoming) game as well as the Nov. 16 (Central Michigan) game.  This lot will not be open to the public on either of these dates.
