KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Mid-American Conference has released its Academic All-MAC Team for the 2012 season and for the third time in program history, WMU boasts three honorees.

Tara Buchanan, Courtney Rousseau and Jennifer Tschetter are the first trio to earn Academic All-MAC in the same season since Mary McCloskey, Laura Steward and Jaymie Voss accomplished the feat in 2004.  The first time WMU softball boasted three honorees Kelly Burris, Sheila Poteracke and Cindy Weber made the team in 1987.

For Rousseau and Tschetter it is the second time in their careers they earned Academic All-MAC, joining six other Broncos, including former teammate Lexi Jager, to garner the honor in multiple seasons.  Weber is the only WMU softball student-athlete to celebrate the achievement three times in a career (1985-87).

Buchanan, earning the award for the first time in her career, finished the spring semester with a 3.53 GPA in recreation.  Rousseau graduated with a 3.98 GPA in civil engineering and was named First Team Capital One Academic All-District V.  Tschetter carried a 3.87 GPA in psychology.
