KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Senior outfielder Courtney Rousseau has been named First Team Capital One Academic All-District V.

The engineering major, who received the Robert Boughner Award as the top engineering student at WMU earlier this year, is now eligible for Capital One Academic All-America honors.

If she were to be chosen for that honor, she would be only the fifth Bronco softball student-athlete to accomplish the feat and the first since Jaymie Voss in 2004.

On the field, Rousseau is hitting .293, which ranks third on the team, and shares the team lead in doubles with nine.  She has started all 47 of the team's games in 2012 and has a team best 44 hits this season.

Off the field, Rousseau carries a 3.98 cumulative GPA in civil engineering, which is the best GPA on the team and ranks 14th among all current student-athletes at Western Michigan University.
