Mayers and Bronco Alumni Gather with the Stanley Cup
ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Some Western Michigan alums and staff gathered with Jamal Mayers recently to celebrate his day with the Stanley Cup after he helped the Chicago Blackhawks win the sacred trophy this past season.
Mayers was joined by WMU Director of Athletics Kathy Beauregard, major gifts officer and former head coach Jim Culhane, assistant coach and alum Pat Ferschweiler, alums Jeff Rucinski and Brendan Kenny, along with Super Bowl Champion and WMU alum Tom Nutten and others.
Nutten and Mayers both played professionally in St. Louis at the same time, while many of the alums played Mayers during his time at WMU in the 90's.
