Western Michigan Announces Inaugural NCHC Schedule
The conference season will consist of 24 games with each team playing five of the eight programs both home and away for two games and the remaining two teams will be played either home or away for a pair of games. The Broncos will host Colorado College, North Dakota, Miami, Minnesota-Duluth, Nebraska-Omaha and Denver during the conference season. All but Nebraska-Omaha will feature return trips, while WMU will also play St. Cloud State on the road for two games.
Western Michigan’s first ever NCHC series will take place in Kalamazoo on Nov. 1 and 2 against Colorado College. It’s first road trip will be two weeks later when the team heads to Denver for games on Nov. 15 and 16.
The Broncos host North Dakota for the first time as a conference foe on Dec. 6 and will make a return trip to Grand Forks, N.D. to close out conference play on March 7 and 8. WMU will spend two straight weekends on the road in February when the team travels to rival Miami on Feb. 7 and 8 and then to Colorado College the following weekend.
The NCHC Quarterfinals are set for March 14-16 and the Semifinals and Finals will be held at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn., on March 21 and 22.
