Jordan White Named a Biletnikoff Semifinalist
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - For the second year in a row, Jordan White has been named a semifinalist for the 2011 Biletnikoff Award. The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc. announced the 10 semifinalists on Monday morning.
White recorded the most receiving yards in a game (238) in the
nation this past week and the sixth most in FBS so far this season. In doing
so, White became WMU's career receiving yards leader (3,678) as well as
single-season receptions (111) and receiving yards (1,402) king.
It
was the third time in program history a WMU receiver had over 200 yards
receiving in a game and the first since Greg Jennings accomplished the
feat in five overtimes in 2005. His 16 receptions also matched a
program mark and his 18th 100-yard receiving game is more than any other
Bronco receiver in program history.
White (using NCAA's
statistics) now leads the nation in receptions per game (11.00),
receiving yards per game (142.56), total receiving yards (1,283) and
receptions (99). He is second in the country with 12 TDs.
White's
actual numbers are 1,402 receiving yards, 111 receptions, 140.20 ypg
(still the nation's best) and 11.1 rpg. His 238 yards at Toledo rank as
the sixth most in a game this season in the FBS.
