KALAMAZOO, Mich.- On Saturday, June 2 I arrived at ReadField house in the afternoon to participate in some fun activities with the Girl Scouts and celebrate their 100th anniversary. I was so happy when all the girls flooded onto the basketball court calling out my name, "It's Buster Bronco!."

There were so many sporting activities happening around Read Field house and I was so impressed with the interaction of the student athletes.  I tumbled with the gymnasts and sang the fight song at the cheerleading station. The Girl Scouts appreciated my dribbling skills on the basketball court even though they made more lay-ups and free throws than I did.

It seemed like all the Girl Scouts wanted to be apart of coloring the signs and getting their autographs signed by the WMU Student Athletes. I even helped color some cool WMU themed posters. The WMU Dance Team was facepainting along the indoor track and I wanted a "W' painted on my coat, but it didn't work out.

The Girl Scout's 100th anniversary celebration was a huge success. I was happy to find out that the WMU Athletic Department had the girls sign their name on a link chain so they can hang it up in their headquarters.
