Women’s Tennis Wins Two Saturday

FORT WAYNE, Ind.- Western Michigan picked up a pair of wins Saturday, defeating Evansville, 6-1, and IPFW, 4-3. Western Michigan swept doubles against Evansville and won every singles match except for No. 6, which was retired. The Broncos lost the doubles point against IPFW, but came back to win four of the six singles points for the win.

Jill Pastunink went 4-0 on the day winning two matches at No. 3 singles and No. 3 doubles. Miloslava Shustova was 2-0, winning both of her No. 5 singles matches. With the wins, WMU improves to 3-6 on the season.

Western Michigan returns to Kalamazoo to host UIC (1 p.m.) and Cleveland State (6 p.m.) Saturday, Feb. 26.
