Broncos Finish First Day at Milwaukee Tennis Classic
The Broncos found success in the singles round against the Musketeers, picking up three wins in the six singles matches the teams played. Freshman Kelsey King picked up a win in her first collegiate singles match, defeating Xavier's Megan Morris 6-0, 6-0 to start her college career on the right foot.
Jill Pastunink was also successful in singles play, defeating Xavier's Andrea Wolf 6-2, 6-0 to start her senior season on a positive note. Rounding out the winners on the day was sophomore Caroline Aleck, who defeated Lizzie Oosterbaan in a three-set thriller; the 2012 recipient of the team's Unsung Hero award split the first two sets with Oosterbaan before winning a super tiebreaker, taking the match 6-1, 6-7, 1-0 (7).
