CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced its Academic All-MAC honorees for the 2012-13 men's tennis season, with Western Michigan's Ross VanderPloeg and Nadin Indre each earning Academic All-MAC honors for the second consecutive season.  The duo also earned All-MAC playing honors earlier this year, with Indre named First Team All-MAC and VanderPloeg to the Second Team.  In addition, the Broncos' Pablo Mora and Aaron Wong were each named Academic All-MAC honorable mentions.

Indre, who maintains a 3.68 GPA in Computer Sciences, wrapped a dominant season in which he led the Broncos in dual match victories.  Indre went 19-6 for the Broncos in dual match play, including a 15-6 mark at No. 1 singles and a 2-2 record against nationally-ranked opposition.  Indre boasted a 20-7 record overall in singles play, as well as a 21-9 record in doubles; he recorded a mark of 16-7 at No. 1 doubles.  Indre did not lose a single MAC regular season match, going 5-0 in singles play and 3-0 in doubles.

VanderPloeg's award represents the culmination of a strong senior season that was capped with him leading the Broncos to their tenth MAC Tournament title in program history, garnering the tournament's Most Outstanding Player award in the process.  The senior completes his collegiate career having maintained a 3.75 GPA in Interdisciplinary Health Services.  VanderPloeg went 22-15 overall in singles, including a 15-11 record in dual matches and an 11-10 record at No. 2 singles.
