KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan's Anina Cicerone and Kelsey Baskins have been named women's soccer Capitol One Second Team Academic All-District V on Friday morning as released by the College Sports Information Directs of America.

This is the second straight year that both Baskins and Cicerone have been honored as Academic All-District. Baskins, a senior defender, helped the Bronco back line to four shutouts and the MAC's second-best goals against average in conference play on the season. The Novi, Mich., native played in 15 games on the season, starting in 14. Baskins has the team's highest GPA at 3.98 and majors in accountancy.

Cicerone holds a 3.94 GPA in biomedical sciences. The Bloomfield Hills, Mich., native started in all 18 games for the Broncos this season, netting one goal. Cicerone also tied for the team lead in shots on goal with 47. Cicerone became the WMU women's soccer program's first ever Academic All-American last season.
