KALAMAZOO -- The Western Michigan looks to extend its two-game winning streak when it hosts Murray State at the WMU Soccer Complex on Friday at 4 p.m.

The Broncos (2-1-0) earned two wins on the road last weekend with a pair of 2-1 wins over College of Charleston and Coastal Carolina. Friday's game will be the regular season home-opener for WMU, who goes back on the road for a showdown at Illinois State on Sunday afternoon.

Murray State enters Friday's match winless on the season. The Racers are 0-2-0 this season, with their first regular season game against Louisiana Tech canceled due to weather. Last weekend MSU lost to Arkansas State, 1-0, and Evansville 2-0.

Illinois State (2-0-2) plays at Northern Illinois before hosting WMU on Sunday at 2 p.m. WMU neat the Red Birds last year in Kalamazoo, 1-0. Western Michigan was one of the few teams to shut down then freshman phenom Rachel Tejada. Tejada, who was named an All-American last year after scoring 21 goals, is once again off to a hot start with seven so far in four games this season.
