Registration Still Open for Women's Soccer Winter Prospect Camp
KALAMAZOO -- Registration is still open for the Western Michigan women's
soccer Winter Prospect Camp for girls in grades 9-12. The camp takes
place on Saturday, Dec. 10 indoors at WMU's Seeyle Center.
"The Western Michigan women's soccer prospect camp is designed to give high quality playing experience to potential student athletes, while exposing them to the WMU coaching staff," said head coach Suzie Grech. "It is an opportunity for players to showcase their soccer skills in an intimate setting."
The camp allows players to interact with the WMU soccer staff and team, be exposed to WMU soccer training and coaching style, experience Western Michigan's campus and be exposed to other college coaches from all division levels. Campers will go through a session of agility and technical training, followed by small sided games, 8-on-8 games, and 11-on-11 followed by a question and answer session.
The cost is $100 per camper but participants can save $10 if registered online. The camp is set for 3-7 p.m. and campers can register on site between 2-2:45 p.m.
Campers are asked to bring a ball, molded soccer shoes, indoor/running shoes, shin guards and water/snack.
