Joyce Fooy is entering her 23rd season as the equipment coordinator at Western Michigan University. The 2009-10 academic and athletic year also marks Fooy's 29th year of service with Western Michigan University.

Fooy graduated from Nanakuli High School in Hawaii prior to join the WMU staff. She and her husband, Rick, reside in Paw Paw, Mich., with their two daughters, Maile and Mckayla.
