CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced the members of its Academic All-MAC women's tennis team today, with Western Michigan's Nini Sujashvili earning the honor for the third straight year.  In addition, junior Caroline Aleck was named an Academic All-MAC Honorable Mention for the second year in a row.

Sujashvili, who recently was named a Capital One / CoSIDA Academic Academic All-District selection, established career-highs in wins, No. 1 singles wins, and MAC wins in 2013-14 en route to a Second Team All-MAC selection.  Sujashvili finished with a 22-16 overall record in singles play, including a dominant 15-7 mark at the No. 1 singles position.  She tied her previous career-best with a 5-3 record against MAC opponents, and was at her best in the final weeks of the season, winning seven of her final 10 matches of the year.

The senior from Tbilisi, Georgia was also a dominant doubles player, posting a 24-12 doubles record that ranked behind just the record of her most typical doubles partner, Tracy Kuhle.  Sujashvili was a dominant 16-4 in dual match doubles, combining with Kuhle to record an 11-3 dual match doubles mark.  The duo went 4-2 against MAC competition in doubles play.

Academically, Sujashvili has always been one of the strongest performers on the Broncos, maintaining a 3.97 GPA over four years while majoring in both Psychology and Sociology.  She became the first Bronco to be named to the Academic All-District team since Kerstin Pahl in 2009, and will appear on the Capital One / CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot.
