Broncos To Close Season at Toledo
Western Michigan Broncos at Toledo Rockets
Saturday, April 19 // 1 p.m.
Toledo, Ohio // UT Varsity Courts
This will be the 65th meeting between the Broncos and the Rockets, with WMU owning a dominant 56-8 edge in the all-time series with Toledo. The last time the teams met was on April 19, 2013, a match the Broncos won by a 5-2 score at West Hills Athletic Club. WMU took the doubles point and proceeded to win four of the six singles matches, with Nadin Indre, Ruben Greiner, and Andrew Cahn among those who posted wins.
FIRST TIME THROUGH
Freshman Matt Hamilton is on the verge of completing an interesting feat, as the first-year player's maiden voyage through the Mid-American conference is so far unblemished. Hamilton is 3-0 against MAC opponents in singles play this year, with the chance to notch a perfect conference record against the Rockets. Hamilton has won seven straight singles matches and 10 of his last 12 contests.
THIS COULD BE THE LAST TIME
The match against the Rockets represents the last matches for Western Michigan senior Nadin Indre, who will wrap his career as one of the best players to wear a Bronco uniform in recent memory. Indre has win 140 total matches in just a three-season career, and he also owns a .654 total winning percentage. Indre's .713 singles winning percentage is the third-highest of any singles play to play for head coach Dave Morin with a minimum of 75 wins.
