BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team split six matches in the singles session, but were unable to produce the one last point necessary for a win in falling 4-3 to the Illinois State Redbirds on Saturday. With the loss, the Broncos fall to 4-3 on the season.

Nadin Indre improved to an undefeated 6-0 in dual match singles on the season, defeating Jakub Eisner in the No. 1 singles match to account for one of the three Bronco points on the afternoon. Though both sets were close affair, Indre picked up a break-point advantage on Eisner in each in downing him 6-4, 6-3 for his sixth consecutive victory.

Sophomore Andrew Cahn was also successful in singles on Saturday, snapping a two-match losing streak in singles to beat Rodrigo Oliveira in three sets in the No. 4 singles match. Cahn fell behind with a 6-4 loss in the first set, but bounced back for a pair of 6-3, 6-3 wins in the second and third sets to get back on track.

Rounding out the wins for the Broncos on Saturday was freshman Matt Hamilton, who improved to 4-1 on the season in dual match singles with a win against Dylan Steffens in the No. 6 singles match. Like Indre, Hamilton was able to eke out breaks against Steffens, downing him 6-3, 6-4 for his third straight singles win of the year.
