Track & Field Looking for the Fastest Kid in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO -- The Western Michigan track and field team is looking for the fastest kid in Kalamazoo from fourth-sixth grade to compete at the Ice Breaker Dual meet against Toledo on Jan. 5 at Read Fieldhouse.

The race for the fastest kid will take place at approximately 4 p.m. in conjunction with the 4x200-meter alumni relay before the running events start between WMU and Toledo. The track and field team is also searching for men's and women's WMU track and field alumni to take part in the relay race.

The Ice Breaker meet is free of charge and begins at noon with the pole vault, followed by the field events beginning at 2 p.m. and running events at 4 p.m. The 4x400-meter relay will close out the meet at 5:15 p.m.
