SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team wrapped another strong outing in singles play on Saturday, posting an overall winning record in singles on the second day of the Bobby Bayliss Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.  The Broncos will conclude the weekend at the Eck Tennis Pavilion on Sunday morning.

In total, two Broncos went a perfect 2-0 in singles on the day, another went 1-0, and  all but one Bronco won at least one of their singles matches on the day.  Andrew Cahn continued the strong start to his sophomore campaign with a pair of victories, starting with a win over Notre Dame's Kenny Sabacinski in the morning session.  Cahn took a close first set with Sabacinski before cruising in the second to win 6-4, 6-1.  Cahn would move just as quickly in his afternoon singles match, defeating Cleveland State's Jorg Van Der Vloet 6-3, 6-3 to wrap his day on the singles courts.

Michael Treis was the other Bronco to go undefeated on the day, and he too defeated members of the Fighting Irish and the Vikings.  Treis beat Cleveland State's Matt Ford in the morning singles match, winning 6-3, 6-2 to start the day with good momentum.  Treis was sharp in his nightcap as well, beating Notre Dame's Dougie Barnard 6-2, 6-1 to seal the perfect singles day.

Matt Hamilton earned a three-set win in the morning session against the Vikings' Manuel Bellutti, coming back from a first set loss to cruise in the final two for a 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 win.  Marc Shideler wrapped the Broncos' early morning successes with a win over Michigan State's Paul Heeder, coming away with a victory in a tight 6-4, 6-4 decision.

In the afternoon session, Pablo Mora picked up his first singles win of the day by beating Ford, breezing by the Cleveland Stater in a 6-1, 6-0 result.  Jimmy Beckwith was the other Bronco to win in the afternoon session, coming back from a second-set loss to Felipe Frias to win 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.
