KALAMAZOO, Mich. - It was announced today that Nadin Indre of the Western Michigan men's tennis team was named the Mid-American Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 21. It is the second time this season that Indre has taken home the award, and the third time a Bronco has won it; Ross VanderPloeg won the award earlier in the season as well.

Indre, who holds a 3.85 GPA in Business, helped Western Michigan extend its win streak to five matches, as the Broncos swept both ends of the doubleheader with a 7-0 win over Valparaiso and a 5-2 win over Youngstown State on Friday. In the first match against Valparaiso, Indre teamed up with Ruben Greiner to win the no. 1 doubles match against Valparaiso and its pair of Lucas Waak and Eric Honert 6-0, 6-2. Indre then went on to win the no. 1 singles match against Honert 6-0,6-2. Against Youngstown State, Indre earned his second singles win of the day, defeating fellow Romanian Silviu Mistreanu 6-3, 6-2 in the no. 1 singles to tie the match at that time.
