Bronco Hockey Ranked in Top 10 for Seventh Straight Week

KALAMAZOO -- After splitting with Michigan the Western Michigan hockey team heads to the holiday break ranked in top 10 for seventh straight week.

The Broncos (11-4-1, 8-3-1-1 CCHA) come in at No. 8 in the USCHO.com Poll and No. 7 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. WMU fell one spot in the USCHO.com poll and maintained their spot in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll from last week. WMU has been ranked in the top 15 every week this season in both polls.

Western Michigan has the week off before heading to Detroit for the Great Lakes Invitational at Joe Louis Arena on Dec. 29 and 30. The Broncos play Michigan State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. If WMU wins they will play the winner of the Michigan Tech versus Michigan game on Sunday at 7 p.m., if they lose they will play in the third place game on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
