Western Michigan returns to the friendly confines of University Arena to host Chicago State after playing its last five games on the road ... WMU is offering $1 admission, $1 hot dogs and $1 popcorn at the game.

The Broncos' recent road trip started the week of Thanksgiving in Flagstaff, Ariz., at the Northern Arizona Tournament, playing games against NAU and Tulane ... the Broncos then faced Detroit, Oakland and IUPUI on the road ... it was the longest road stretch of the season ... WMU will take a week break for finals and then travel to in-state Big Ten rival Michigan, next Saturday, Dec. 15, for a 2 p.m. contest ... beginning with the NAU Tournament and through the matchup at Michigan, WMU will have played six out of seven games on the road.

This will be the 12th meeting between Western Michigan and Chicago State, with WMU leading the series, 8-3 ... Chicago State has won the last two in the series, defeating WMU in the Windy City last year, 70-65, on Dec. 6, 2011, and in Kalamazoo on Dec. 1, 2010, 73-63 ... the Broncos last defeated CSU in Chicago, 74-71, on Nov. 30, 2009.

Western Michigan (2-6) is looking to rebound from a four-game losing skid, and is coming off a 75-67 loss at IUPUI Wednesday night ... senior guard Aurielle Anderson (11.6 ppg) and junior guard Corie Buchanan (10.0 ppg) are averaging double figures for the Broncos ... freshman forward Miracle Woods is contributing 9.0 ppg ... Buchanan is also the top rebounder with 5.6 rpg, followed by sophomore forward Michelle O'Brien (5.1 rpg) ... WMU is shooting 36.8 percent from the field and averaging 63.8 ppg as a team, while allowing 73.4 ppg.

Chicago State is coached by Angela Jackson in her 10th season and is off to a 1-6 start ... the Cougars posted a 6-24 overall, 4-6 Great West record last year ... Chicago State is currently a member of the Great West Conference, but accepted a formal invitation on Dec. 5 to join the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), where it will begin competing in 2013-14 ... 5-7 sophomore guard Tierra Williams (8.7 ppg) and 5-5 sophomore guard Jackie Jones (8.1 ppg) are the team's leading scorers ... 5-8 senior guard Jazzmyn Harvey (4.4 ppg) is a former Bronco and played at Western Michigan her freshman season in 2008-09 ... the Cougars are shooting 30.3 percent from the field and have made just 24 three-pointers this season ... as a team, CSU is averaging 49.0 ppg and allowing 71.3 ppg defensively.

WMU's four-overtime game at Oakland (12/1) was the longest in school history and equated to an extra half of basketball ... sophomore guard A.J. Johnson (five three's) and freshman guard Alex Morton both had career games, scoring 15 points and 11 points, respectively ... several Broncos set career highs for minutes played.
