Greiner Joins Broncos For Spring 2013 Season
"I'm extremely excited to welcome Ruben to our program," said WMU head men's tennis coach Dave Morin. "I really like his size and his movement, and I think he will really solidify our line-up. He's ready to step in and grow his game."
Greiner hails from Wiesbaden, Germany, and is currently ranked #245 among all men's players in the country, a number made all the more impressive by the fact he celebrated his 18th birthday just a few weeks ago. He compiled a 21-7 record in International Tennis Federation events in 2012, winning a Grade 5 event in Switzlerland, and reaching the semifinals of a Grade 5 event in Switzerland and a Grade 4 event in Portugal.
"He's been playing at a high level of competition for a while now," said Morin. "I've been very impressed with the results. Again, I'm excited to welcome him to the program."
