Cahn Advances to Finals at Wildcat Invite

EVANSTON, Ill. - Andrew Cahn advanced to the finals of the Flight B Singles draw, and the Western Michigan men's tennis team completed its second day of competition at the Northwestern Wildcat Invite. The Broncos will conclude their stay in Evanston with a round of singles on Sunday.

Cahn recorded his second straight singles victory of the weekend while facing off with a soon-to-be familiar Mid-American Conference opponent, taking on Toledo's Garrett Cona. Cahn quickly dispatched his opponent, defeating Cona 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the finals of his draw. He will face Northwestern's Alberto Zanotti in the finals on Sunday morning, scheduled for 11 a.m.

Also advancing on Saturday was senior Aaron Wong, who recorded a breezy two-set victory to enter the finals of the Flight A back draw. Wong downed DePaul's Mathias Hambach 6-2, 6-3, and will face Illinois State's Jacob Wilson in the finals on Sunday at 8 a.m.
