• WMU Athletic Hall of Fame will honor the Class of 2012, which includes six members, including only the third active coach ever to be inducted (Dave Morin, Men’s Tennis)
• Hall of Fame Class of 2012 — Dan Edwards (Men’s Soccer, 1991-94); Katie Markey (Women’s Soccer, 1996-99); Sue McCarthy (Gymnastics, 1988-90); Lynda McLean (Volleyball, 1984-87); Dave Morin (Men’s Tennis Coach, 1998-present); William Pyle (Men’s Cross Country/Track & Field, 1954-57)
• The WMU Athletic Hall of Fame is inducting a class without someone representing football for the first time since 2002
• WMU leads the all-time series with Northern Illinois, 23-14-0
• WMU leads the all-time series at home with Northern Illinois, 13-6-0
• WMU is looking to stop a two-game skid, its first since Oct. 15-22, 2011

• Van Tubbergen became the 14th Western Michigan QB to throw for over 300 yards in a game at least once in his career
• Josh Schaffer set career highs in receptions (9) and receiving yards (151) at Kent State
• WMU held the nation’s leader in all-purpose yards (229.17 ypg), Dri Archer, 114.17 yards under his average a week ago
• Desmond Bozeman registered his first career interception at Kent State, marking the third game in a row that Western Michigan has picked off a pass
• WMU has recorded at least one interception in seven of eight games in 2012, opening the season with an INT in the first four games; WMU was held without an INT only against Toledo
• A win over Northern Illinois will improve WMU to 4-1 at home in 2012 and to 17-15 in October games under head coach Bill Cubit

HERE’S SOMETHING YOU DID NOT KNOW
Western Michigan enters its ninth game of the season with 1,271 rushing yards, averaging 158.8 yards on the ground in 2012.  The Broncos had 1,575 yards on the ground in all of 2011 (121.2 ypg).  If WMU keeps this pace, it will end the year with 1,906.5 yards, the most since rushing for 2,022 yards in 2000.
