ROCKFORD, Ill. - Kathleen Hawkins won the Bravo Flight singles, Caroline Aleck took third place in the Charlie Flight, and the Western Michigan women's tennis team completed a successful weekend of competition at the ITA Second Chance Regional hosted by Northern Illinois.

Hawkins finished up what was a near-perfect overall weekend with her third straight singles victory, defeating Michigan State's Jennifer Yen in the finals of the Bravo Flight singles.  Hawkins made short work of Yen, giving up just a single game in two sets in a dominating 6-0, 6-1 win.  Hawkins finishes the weekend with a 5-1 overall record, and reached the finals of both her singles and doubles draw.

Aleck had a successful finish to her weekend as well, bouncing back from a singles loss on Saturday to take third place in the Charlie Flight singles.  Aleck posted a perfect effort against Milwaukee's Brittany Skemp, defeating her 6-0, 6-0 to claim third place in the singles flight.  Aleck posted a 4-2 overall weekend.
