Wednesday Men's Soccer Against Detroit Moved to 2 p.m. at Kalamazoo College
KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Heavy rain storms have resulted in unplayable field conditions at the WMU Soccer Complex, forcing Western Michigan's home men's soccer contest against Detroit Wednesday, Oct. 17, to be relocated to MacKenzie Field on the campus of Kalamazoo College. The start time of the game has also been changed from 4 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Kalamazoo College's MacKenzie Field is located just west of the corner of West Michigan Avenue and Burrows Road, adjacent to the main campus of Western Michigan. While MacKenzie Field does not have a mailing address, many online maps use 1600 West Michigan Ave, 49008, as the location of the fields.
Free parking is available in K-College's parking lot on the north side of West Michigan Avenue just west of Burrows Road. Street parking is also available in the surrounding area.
The WMU Soccer Complex is natural grass, while MacKenzie Field is a turf playing surface.
Western Michigan owns a 9-3-2 record heading into Wednesday's match, while Detroit is 6-6-0. Check back to wmubroncos.com for a complete game preview.
