EVANSTON, Ill. - The doubles pairing of Jill Pastunink and Caroline Aleck were victorious in their final doubles match of the weekend, and the Western Michigan women's tennis team completed the second day of play at the Northwestern Wildcat Invitational.

Pastunink and Aleck came together for the last doubles match of the weekend after having played with different doubles partners on Friday, and the pair recorded a solid win against DePaul's Ana Vladutu and Rebeca Mitrea. Pastunink and Aleck controlled the pace of play against the pair of Blue Demons, taking home the 8-2 doubles victory.

Aleck had a near-victory in doubles play earlier in the day as well, as she and Kelsey King competed in the semifinals of the back draw of the Black Draw doubles. King and Aleck held close with Northern Iowa's Phoebe Walker and Krissy Lankelma, the reigning Missouri Valley Conference No. 1 Doubles champions, but couldn't quite close as they fell 8-5.
