Broncos Fall at Miami, 3-0

OXFORD, Ohio -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team suffered its first road loss of the Mid-American Conference season falling at Miami 3-0 on Friday afternoon.

Kayla Zakrzewski had a hand in each goal scored by the RedHawks after getting them off to a fast start assisting on Haley Walter's goal in there seventh minute. Zakrzewski crossed the ball into the box and Walter pegged it into the net from about 15 yards out.

Zakrzewski assisted on the second goal of the game to put the Broncos down 2-0 in the 53rd minute. She crossed the ball into the box and Morgan Beck tapped it in from just in front of the net for her first goal of the season. Zakrzewski later added a goal of her own with three minutes left to secure the win for Miami.

Western Michigan fired off eight shots total but were only able to land two on net.

The Broncos look to rebound against MAC West foes Ball State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
