Broncos Complete Second Day at DePaul Invitational

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Maggie Remynse and Nini Sujashvili each split a pair of singles matches on Saturday afternoon, and the Western Michigan women's tennis team completed its second day of play at the 2012 DePaul Invitational. The Broncos will conclude play at the tournament on Sunday.

Both Remynse and Sujashvili bounced back from losses early in the day to pick up singles wins later in the afternoon, with each win coming against an ITA Midwest opponent. Remynse outlasted a tough Illinois State opponent in defeating Emmie Marx 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (7) in a consolation round in the Flight A Singles Back Draw for her first singles win of the weekend.

Meanwhile, Nini Sujashvili bounced back from a loss in the Flight B Singles Main Draw with a convincing victory later in the bracket. The junior defeated Valparaiso's Kristin Zakiewicz 6-0, 6-1 for a 2-1 record in singles play on the weekend.
