KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team will be back in action this weekend when members of the squad participate in the DePaul Invitational, scheduled for September 28-30. The eight-team tournament will consist of five singles draws as well as a doubles draw, and will be played at Romeoville High School as well as Lewis University's courts.

"The DePaul tournament was a good fit for our team for a few reasons," said assistant coach Mark Henderson. "It's going to give us the opportunity to play against some different competition, including opponents we won't see in the spring. It also gives us the chance to manage our line-up and keep players fresh as they continue to work on their games in the fall season.

The field will consist of opponents that the Broncos have had experience with over the course of the years, including six teams situated in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Midwest region. The Broncos went 2-2 in 2012 against teams in this year's field, including a 5-2 win over Chicago State and a 7-0 shutout against Northern Illinois.
