WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Stephen Payne reached the finals of the Flight C Singles Back Draw, and the Western Michigan men's tennis team wrapped up its weekend at the Purdue Fall Invitational on Sunday.

Payne reached the finals of his bracket on Sunday, starting his day with a semifinal win over Cleveland State's Nolan Marks. Payne defeated Marks 6-3, 6-3 to notch his third straight singles victory for the weekend and move into the finals of the Flight C Singles Back Draw. Payne put forth a solid effort against IUPUI's Armand Choudhary, but ultimately fell in the finals 7-5, 6-2.

Only one other Bronco competed on Sunday, with freshman Andrew Cahn pushing his opponent Patrick before being forced to retire early with an injury. Cahn fell just short in the first set of his match in the Flight A Singles Back Draw, falling 7-5 before withdrawing.
