Jones Named to College Soccer News National Team of the Week

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Western Michigan senior defender Darren Jones was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week after scoring and assisting a goal in two Bronco victories this week.

The senior captain from Victoria, British Columbia, assisted Yllson Asani's goal in the 73rd minute this past Wednesday in a 3-0 win over IPFW. Jones then came up with the game-winning goal against DePaul, ranked No. 10 in the Great Lakes Region, Saturday on the road, powering home a free kick from 32 yards out.

Western Michigan is off to a 4-0-0 record in 2012, the team's best start since 2003, when the program won its first six games.
