KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team added one more new member to this year's recruiting class, with Andrew Cahn (West Bloomfield, Mich./West Bloomfield) officially signing a National Letter of Intent to come to WMU. Cahn's commitment brings the Broncos' total recruiting class to four members; Jim Beckwith, Stephen Payne, and Michael Treis signed during the fall signing period in November.

"Andrew is one of the elite players coming out of the state of Michigan this year, and he will be a tremendous student-athlete during his career at Western Michigan University," said head men's tennis coach Dave Morin. "The foundation of our success has always centered around a core nucleus of top level Michigan athletes, and he'll have an opportunity to make major contributions right away."

Cahn is rated as a four-star recruit and was named Michigan's "Mr. Tennis" for the 2011-12 school year by the Michigan High School Tennis Coaches' Association. Cahn also rates as the 14th-best recruit in the Great Lakes region.

In addition to Cahn's tennis achievements, he also excels in the classroom; he will also receive the prestigious Medallion Scholarship from Western Michigan.
