KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Bronco women's tennis program has announced that Caroline Aleck (Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Northern) has signed a National Letter of Intent with Western Michigan. Aleck will join the Brown & Gold in 2011-12.

"Caroline will be a great contributor to our program," said WMU head coach Betsy Kuhle. "She particularly will step right in at doubles and help us. She's definitely a diamond in the rough."

Aleck played No. 2 singles her first two years in high school, advancing to the Division 2 state semifinals as a freshman and winning the state championship as a sophomore, finishing the season undefeated at 34-0. Last year as a junior, she moved up to No. 1 singles and posted a 32-2 record, reaching the state semifinals.

Aleck has led Forest Hills Northern to three team state championships, earning three O-K Blue-Rainbow Conference nods and three regional titles along the way. She was an all-state singles selection in 2010 and enters her senior year ranked as the No. 13 senior in the state of Michigan and No. 35 in the Great Lakes Region by
