Overall thoughts on the game …

“Kind of disappointed, not with the effort I think our team’s effort was there most of the game, just our lack of execution.  It was a pretty simple game and I think in the first half we got it to within five and gave up some offensive rebounds and just really let them attack, attack the basket and sent them to the free throw line a little bit.  We just didn’t execute well.  Disappointed by that and there were some categories we did better at last time and we just didn’t execute well and even more than that we didn’t shoot well, 20 percent in the first half 37 in the second half and 28 percent in the game. We haven’t shot that poorly in a long time but we just couldn’t get the ball in the hole.”

Commenting on defense and lack of execution …

“I don’t think it was anything they did to us.  I think it was just us not focusing.  We missed tons of lay ups and wide open shots just couldn’t confidently step up and knock down shots and a lot of times we were wide open.  Julia Henson was not shooting the basketball very well, she only had two shots tonight.  Maria Iaquaniello didn’t score well tonight we had most of our production from the post players.  We crossed the ball over with our guards and we just didn’t shoot it well and a lot of those shots were wide open.  We are in the gym shooting all the time and I think for the most part our percentages have been ok but tonight that really hurt us as well as our lack of defensive execution.”

Commenting on Rachel Adaline and Robin Giden …

“It was great to see that and just to see some consistency.  Rachel Adaline scored 14 points and that is completely possible for her to score that all the time.  She is strong and not a lot of post players can defend her.  I thought she was confident tonight and I thought she took advantage of her strength.  She played well for us and did what I expected her to do.  Robin Giden came in a really provided a punch for us up on the boards and had some great rebounds and put backs.  It was good to see her to come back after several injuries to play well.  We didn’t have Robin the last time out versus Eastern Michigan so it was good to utilize her in the post and both of them had good games and it was nice to see that.  We have been playing small and haven’t had a great post presence so it was good to see a couple of them emerge here because we definitely could use that.”
