KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team is on a roll now having won five of its last six matches including a 4-0 win over Chicago State Sunday afternoon at West Hills to improve to 9-4 this season. 

WMU moved to 9-1 this season when winning the doubles point as the duo Barbare Eristavi and Katja Fevralev got things started with a quick 6-0 win at No. 2. Tracy Kuhle and Melina Lyubomirova, who have won the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Doubles Team of the Week three consecutive times, earned the clinching doubles win at No. 1 taking it 6-2. They improved their match winning streak to eight and are now 15-4 together this season. 

In singles play, sophomore Olivia Myers (No. 2) and Fevralev (No. 5) won quickly, both taking their match by the score of 6-0, 6-1. Lyubomirova finished the Cougars off with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 1 to improve to a team-leading 17-9 this season. Myers improved to 8-8 while Fevralev jumped to an impressive 16-4. 

WMU returns to action next weekend with a pair of matches on the west coach against California State-Los Angeles and California State-Northridge on March 4 and 5, respectively.
