Western Michigan announced its 2016 signee class on Wednesday. The Broncos signed 25 new student-athletes to letters of intent for the 2016-17 season. The class ranks atop the MAC for the third straight year, giving the Broncos back-to-back-to-back No. 1 recruiting classes.
Included in that class are 18 three-star or higher prospects, 19 two-sport athletes, 14 all-conference selections and seven state champions.
By position, the Broncos signed one quarterback, five defensive backs, four linebackers, four offensive linemen, three defensive linemen, three wide receivers, two running backs, two tight ends and a kicker.Â
