Bronco Hockey Receiving Votes in Both National Polls

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan hockey team is receiving votes in both national polls after starting off 2-0-1 this season.

The Broncos received 27 votes in Monday's poll, putting them unofficially 25th in the nation. Clarkson, who WMU battles this weekend, received 29 votes and are unofficially 24th. In the USA Today/USA Hockey poll WMU received four points, making them unofficially 22nd in the nation. 

Teams from the National Collegiate Hockey Conference have dominated the national polls so far this season. The NCHC currently has seven teams either ranked or receiving votes and boasts four teams in the top six with North Dakota (1), Omaha (2), Minnesota-Duluth (5) and Denver (6).

Western Michigan heads to Clarkson for a pair of games this weekend on Friday and Saturday. Both games can be seen live on clarksonathletics.tv.
