KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Western Michigan University softball will hold a mandatory meeting for those interested in trying out for the 2015 – 2016 season. All required forms and documents must be completed prior to the tryout. Those interested should note a typical practice block will run from 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. daily. If asked to join the team players must be cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center. To try out for a Western Michigan varsity athletic team, you must be a current, full-time student at WMU.

Please bring the following forms and documents to the meeting:
• Physical form
• Insurance form
• Copy of insurance card
• Sickle cell test results
• Copy of class schedule
• Photo ID

Tryout
Date: Monday September 14, 2015
Time: 6:00p.m.
Location: Fran Ebert Field (Stadium Dr. & Oliver)

A physical, sickle cell test, and insurance paperwork must be completed to attend the tryout session. A PDF of the required physical form, as well as insurance form, can be downloaded at the top of this page.

No form is necessary for the sickle cell test. A copy of the results should be turned in with physical and proof of insurance. Physicals and sickle cell test may be done on campus at the Sindecuse Center or by a family physician. *Please note, appointments are needed for physicals at the Sindecuse Center, contact: (269) 387-3290.
