KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team looks to head to the Mid-American Conference Championship for the third time in four years but first meets top-seeded Eastern Michigan in the MAC Semifinals on Friday at 11 a.m. at EMU.
The Broncos (9-5-5) advanced to the semifinals after beating Kent State in penalty kicks, 3-2, after a 1-1 tie in Kalamazoo on Sunday. WMU went down 1-0 early in the 14th minute but

Eastern Michigan defeated the eighth seed Ohio Bobcats 3-0 to advance and host the semifinals and finals. The game will be a rematch of for the two teams, who battled it out on Halloween for the regular season MAC Championship. Eastern Michigan netted two goals in the second half to best the Broncos at the WMU Soccer Complex and claim the MAC Championship.
The last time the Broncos and Eagles met in the MAC Tournament was in the quarterfinals in 2010. The teams battled to a 0-0 tie before WMU advanced after beating EMU on penalty kicks 4-2. Head coach

The winner of the game will move on to Sunday's MAC Championship game at 1 p.m. against the winner of the Miami and Central Michigan game.
