KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Western Michigan concluded the 2013 season with a 9-2 loss to Central Michigan Saturday at Robert J. Bobb Stadium.

Central Michigan (25-30, 12-15 MAC) scored in four of the first five innings and blew open a 4-2 game with five runs in the top of the fifth.

The Chippewas took a 2-0 lead with a run in the first and third innings courtesy of the Regnier brothers. Younger brother Logan Regnier reached both frames in the leadoff at bat and then was driven in by his older bother Nick Regnier from the three hole.

Western Michigan (16-38, 8-19 MAC) tied the score at 2-2 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third. Steve Buglione drove in a run with a bases-loaded sacrifice fly. Senior Patrick Duncan pushed the second run across with a two-out single to left field.

CMU regained the lead scoring two more runs in the top of the fourth. Jordan Adams got the visitors going in their five-run fifth with a solo home run to left field. Three of the runs allowed in the inning were unearned.

Senior left-handed starter Mike Moyer was dealt the loss for the Broncos, yielding five runs and seven hits over 4.1 innings. He finishes the year with a 3-7 record.

LHP Rick Dodridge (4-4) was credited with the win for CMU in a five-inning effort. He gave up two runs and seven hits. Jason Gamble went the rest of the way to earn his first save of the season.

WMU had eight hits in the game with eight different players singling.

Western Michigan honored its five outgoing seniors, Duncan, Moyer, as well as Kory Bauswell, Chris Bossenbery and Casey Hall prior to the game. All five made an appearance in Saturday's contest.
