and pull out the win. The Broncos picked up goals from
Chase Balisy and
Kenney Morrison in the loss.
QUICK HITS - NOTES FROM LAST NIGHT
•
SNAPPED: Western Michigan had its four game unbeaten streak snapped
after falling 3-2. Also snapped was
Dane Walters' career-long goal
scoring streak of four games. However, after an assist in last night's
game, Walters did extended his career-long point streak to five games.
He has tallied four goals and six assists in his last five games.
•
FIVE MINUTES: In the past two games WMU has had a total of five
minutes of five-on-three power play time but failed to score during the
advantage. Last Saturday they had two full minutes of a five-on-three
thanks to Lake Superior State taking two penalties at one time. Last
night WMU ended up with three full minutes of five-on-three time due to
two major penalties called on Bowling Green.
•
COMEBACK KIDS: WMU is 4-0-1 after a loss this season. The lone time
the Broncos did not respond to a loss with a win was their 1-1 tie
against Michigan State at the Great Lakes Invitational after they had
lost to Michigan the previous game.
