• WMU leads the all-time series with Kent State, 33-18-1
• WMU leads the all-time series on the road at Kent State, 16-9-0
• WMU last played Kent State on Nov. 20, 2010, winning, 38-3
• WMU last played Kent State at Dix Stadium on Oct. 31, 2009, falling, 26-14
• WMU's last win at Dix Stadium came on Oct. 28, 2000 (42-0)
• WMU faces former running backs coach/offensive coordinator Brian Rock (1992-2005) who is now Kent State's OC
• WMU had three players record 10 or more tackles against Ball State, the second time that has occurred in 2012
Josh Schaffer is now responsible for both the longest rushing play (66) and pass play (45) for the Broncos this season

• A win over Kent State would give head coach Bill Cubit 36 MAC wins, which would stand alone in second in program history and tie Trevor Rees (Kent State, 1951-63) for 15th in Mid-American Conference history
• Western Michigan sacked Ball State 4.0 times last weekend after the Cardinals had allowed a total of 3.0 sacks in their first six games of the season
• Wilson is two games from matching Toledo's Eric Page for the most 100-yard receiving games by a freshman in the MAC going back to the 2000 season
• WMU tied its longest drive in terms of plays in program history with a 99-yard TD drive against UMass
Antoin Scriven scored his first career rushing TD from more than one yard out when he scored from two yards vs. UMass
Justin Collins scored his career touchdown against UMass
James Kristof (OG) and Kyle Lark (LB) made their first career starts against UMass, while Demetris Ates, Jesse Boulnemour, Michael Butler, Kalvin Hill and Flenard Whitfield their WMU football debuts against the Minutemen.

HERE'S SOMETHING YOU DID NOT KNOW
Western Michigan has played in eight overtime games in program history with a record of 4-4 and a scoring breakdown of 271-271.  All but one of the Broncos' eight OT games have come in the month of October and six of them have come on the road.  Only one OT game has gone longer than one period (2005 - 5 OTs vs. Ball State), which is the longest game (in terms of OT periods in Mid-American Conference history.
