The game will be broadcast live on the Bronco Radio Network: 96.5 FM (Kalamazoo, Portage, Mattawan); 94.1 FM (Lansing, Jackson, Battle Creek), 101.3 FM (Grand Rapids) and 1310 AM (Detroit).  Robin Hook (play-by-play) and John Creek (analysis) will have the call beginning at 1 p.m.

WMU FOOTBALL NOTES OF INTEREST
• This is the 89th Annual Homecoming Game
• Western Michigan is playing UMass for the first time ever
• UMass is the eighth different Homecoming opponent under head coach Bill Cubit and ninth-consecutive different team overall
• Coach Cubit holds a 5-2 record in Homecoming Games with the only losses coming in 2007 and 2010
• WMU has outscored Homecoming opponents 216-160 under Cubit with three of the four wins coming by more than 20 points
• Jaime Wilson broke the WMU record for 100-yard receiving games by a freshman with his fourth against Toledo
• Wilson needs three more 100-yard receiving games to surpass what Toledo’s Eric Page accomplished (6) in 2009; the most since 2000
• J. Schroeder was named the National Punter of the Week by the College Performance Awards after registering the third best single-game per punt average (51.0 ypp) in program history against Toledo
• Donald Celiscar recorded WMU’s first safety since Nov. 25, 2011 against Akron
• Four Bronco defenders registered 10 or more tackles against Toledo led by sophomore strong safety Justin Currie who had a career high 15 stops
• The last time WMU repeated Homecoming opponents was in 2003 when the Broncos played Bowling Green, a team they hosted in the 2011 Homecoming Game
• WMU fell to 28-34-1 in MAC openers with loss to Toledo
• WMU fell to 15-18-1 in home MAC openers and Coach Cubit now holds a 5-3 record in such games
• WMU scored its 20,000th point as a program when it went past 25 points in the win over Connecticut
• WMU head coach Bill Cubit is looking for his 50th win as the Broncos’ head coach and 35th MAC win
• Cubit captured his 30th home win with the Broncos’ defeat of Connecticut and he is now one of only four coaches with 30 or more wins at home — Al Molde (37); Bill Doolittle (35); John Gill (33)

HERE’S SOMETHING YOU DID NOT KNOW
UMass and Western Michigan are playing for the first time ever this season.  It is the fifth team during Bill Cubit’s tenure that the Broncos have faced for the first time with WMU going 3-1 in such games.  It also the first team from the state of Massachusetts WMU has ever played.
