  • This will be the first time the Broncos have ever faced Southeast Missouri State and Bradley
  • This will be the sixth meeting between the Broncos and the Panthers, with WMU holding a 5-0 advantage in the all-time series
  • Six of the Broncos' first nine matches in 2012 are against opponents that reached the 2011 NCAA Tournament, including Milwaukee this week
  • Jessica Brown moved into 13th place on the career kills list at Western Michigan last weekend, passing Traci Morin's total of 1,161.
  • Lena Oliver won her first MAC West Defensive Player of the Week award for her work at the Oklahoma Nike Invitational, where she averaged 5.70 digs per set
  • Terin Norris recorded a pair of Assists-Digs double-doubles at the Oklahoma Nike Invitational last weekend, including a 55-assist, 12-dig performance against Missouri State
  • Ali Gossen recorded 18 kills in the Broncos' 3-1 win over Missouri State, just one shy of her career-high
  • Sophomore middle blocker Richelle Ranney made her first three career starts last weekend, averaging 2.10 kills per set and hitting a team-best .321 in the process
  • The Broncos have won 20 matches in seven consecutive seasons under Colleen Munson, a program record
  • The Broncos return all but one starter from their 2011 team that reached the NCAA Tournament on the strength of a 24-9 record
  • Lena Oliver tied a school record in 2011 with 700 digs; she is only the second player in program history to record 700 digs in one season
  • The Broncos return three players that were First Team All-MAC in 2011: Jessica Brown (middle blocker), Terin Norris (setter), and Lena Oliver (libero)
  • Redshirt sophomore setter Terin Norris is the reigning MAC Freshman of the Year, and is one of only three players in WMU history to have recorded a triple-double
  • Lena Oliver is a two-time COBRA Magazine National Defensive Player of the Year, and was honored this year as a Preseason National Player of the Year candidate
  • The Broncos will not play a home match until Sept. 28, when they host Toledo at University Arena
