TOLEDO, Ohio - Nadin Indre won a marathon third-set tiebreaker, and the Western Michigan men's tennis team defeated Northern Illinois 4-3 to advance to the finals of the 2012 Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis championship. The Broncos will face the Buffalo Bulls at 1 p.m. on Saturday for the championship. With the win, the Broncos improve to 16-11 overall.

Indre rallied from a one-set deficit to tie the match at 1-1, and took a 6-5 lead in the third set when he broke NIU's Dor Amir's serve. Amir would break Indre in the subsequent game to tie the set at 6-6, leaving the two in a nail-biting tiebreaker. Indre would take a 6-3 lead in the tiebreaker before Amir tied the breaker at 6-6; the two would trade points until Indre strung together two points with a 9-9 lead to win the point 11-9 and the match 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (9).

Aaron Wong put Indre in the position to clinch the win for the Broncos when he won a third set of his own, bouncing back from a dropped second set to beat Max Phillips 6-3, 6-7 (1), 6-3. Wong rebounded from a 3-1 deficit in the third set to win five straight games and take the match. Zeyad Montasser would give the Broncos a 2-0 lead In singles play with a quick victory in the No. 2 singles match, running his winning streak to seven matches with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Roman Turtygin.

The Broncos opened things quickly with a win in the doubles point, taking the first two matches off the court for the win. Indre and Montasser made quick work of Axel Lagerlof and Dor Amir in the No. 1 doubles match, jumping out to a two-break lead and coasting to an 8-4 win. Not long after they cleared the court, the duo of Ross VanderPloeg and Simon Blomberg wrapped up a dominating win in the No. 3 doubles. Blomberg and VanderPloeg also jumped out to an early big lead, and finished off Max Phillips and Frederic Cadeiux 8-2 to clinc h the doubles point.
