STOCKTON, Calif. -- Western Michigan senior forward Greg Squires has signed a contract with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL on Thursday.

Squires recently completed his senior season with the Broncos, helping them to the program's second ever CCHA Tournament Championship. The White Plains, N.Y., native finished his career with 160 games played, 26 goals and 74 assist with 100 career points.

He became the 51st Bronco in program history to break 100 points when he netted his second goal of the game in WMU's 6-2 win over Miami in the CCHA Semifinals. The 5-foot-7 forward was also named to the CCHA All-Tournament team.

Squires statistically had his best season his freshman year with 29 points on 22 assists and seven goals. He was the team's leading scorer during the 2009-10 season and potted a career-high eight goals this season.

Stockton is the ECHL affiliate for the Edmonton Oilers and the San Jose Sharks. The Thunder already feature one Bronco, with former scorer Max Campbell currently on the roster. Squires and Campbell spent three seasons on the same line together at WMU.
